Pride Media Association was established in 1996, by Jonathan Burns (who tragically died in 2015) and became incorporated as a company limited by guarantee (no 03806539) in July 1999.
The Company Objects are the promotion for the public benefit of urban regeneration in areas of social and economic deprivation by all or any of the following means:-
- The advancement of education, training or retraining, particularly among unemployed people, and such other purposes as the directors shall determine from time to time.
The Company has a long history of working with local residents to tackle issues using digital technology as tools to promote cohesion, education and personal development.
In July 2016, Pride Media Association became a subsidiary company of CVS Rochdale which operates as a separate legal entity, with a separate board of directors, separate financial records and separate staffing structure.
Pride Media Association, trading as Community Dev Co, delivers all of the learning activities, projects and services.
Our qualified staff design, write and deliver a range of training courses which are aimed at developing the workforce confidence, skills and knowledge of local not for profit organisations and supporting communities and residents to improve skills.
