We work with voluntary and community sector organisations who involve volunteers to address the practical issues around the development and growth of organisation around volunteer management. In this section you will find details of how we help to create the conditions for a thriving volunteer involving sector.
Volunteer Centre Rochdale Borough will champion volunteering within the Rochdale Borough and promote good practice to organisations which involve volunteers.
How we can support your group or organisation?
- We offer support, information, advice and “best practice” on all volunteering issues, such as payment of expense, development of policies, risk assessments and policy checks.
- We will support you to develop volunteering opportunities for your organisation
- We will make your volunteer opportunity available on our local database and on the national volunteering database.
- We offer training sessions on issues that volunteer coordinators have identified
- We offer to do presentations, talks and drop-in sessions within your organisation to your clienteles’
- We hold bi-monthly Volunteer Involving Organisation Forum where we discuss some of the latest volunteering topics and issues.
- If you have issues or comments about access to the Criminal Record Bureau then we can help
Contact the Volunteer Centre to make sure your volunteering opportunities are registered with us. By doing so, your opportunities will be part of the National Opportunities database, www.do-it.org.uk.
