Information Update on National Minimum Wage

Information from DLP:

Please be advised that there has been recent emphasis regarding an employer’s duties in the matter of the national minimum wage. In a recent legal case, an employer was been found to be paying employees at a rate below the national minimum wage. This was treated as a criminal matter and tried in the criminal courts. As a consequence, the employer received a fine of almost £4,000 AND a criminal record.

Community Wildlife is Big Lottery Fund’s new programme for projects that bring local people together to discover, enjoy and protect the wildlife in their local area.

The programme is now open to a wide range of organisations including voluntary and community organisations, schools, town and parish councils, and statutory health authorities.
