Benefits of becoming a member

CVS Rochdale provides a strong voice for the local third sector organisations: liaising with grant makers, negotiating and upholding the local Compact, representing local voluntary, community and faith sector organisations in the Borough of Rochdale on a range of strategic partnerships within the borough
Over 300 local third sector organisations are already members of CVS Rochdale. Member organisations gain access to a comprehensive range of support, free and discounted access to all CVS Rochdale services.

All members receive:

  • Free copy of CVS Rochdale's Membership Newsletter;
  • Priority booking and a discount for CVS Rochdale training events;
  • Priority booking and discount for use of meeting rooms within Partnership House
  • Free publicity of your events and news through the website

Types of Membership

The following types of CVS Membership are :-

  • Group Membership
  • Individual Membership

Group Membership is open to any not for profit organisation (voluntary, community, faith, social enterprise etc). Group members are full members of CVS Rochdale and are eligible to vote at CVS Rochdale’s Annual General Meeting and be elected to the Board of Directors. The group membership application form requests information which is utilized by CVS Rochdale to develop a profile of the sector within the borough. Development Officers will also ask to see your governing document and equal opportunities policy to ensure that your organisation is in line with our organisational values.

Individual Membership is open to any resident of the Borough of Rochdale interested in furthering the aims and objectives of CVS Rochdale. Individual members are full members of CVS Rochdale and are eligible to vote at CVS Rochdale’s Annual General Meeting and be elected to the board of Directors.

The process of becoming a member

If you would like to apply to become a member of CVS Rochdale contact our Communication & Information Officer - Sarah Harper on 01706 631 291 or email: s.harper@cvsr.org.uk .
When we have all of the relevant information required for membership we will put forward your application to our Board of Directors at their next meeting. You will then be sent a letter confirming your membership number and a membership certificate.
