Welcome to the Funding and Finance Section

As competition increases for fewer funds, it is more important than ever that we have effective fundraising and income generation strategies and are able to manage our finances to best meet our aims and objectives. 

Funding
Whether you are completely new to fundraising or whether you are an experienced fundraiser we are able to provide free advice and guidance on all aspects of fundraising and income generation:-

Whether you wish to tender for a commission from the statutory sector, want to generate income through sale of goods or services or apply for grants we are here to help you. 

We  can provide information about the commissioning process, provide support with the completion of pre-qualification questionnaires and completion of your invitation to tender. We can also direct you to funding databases, funding resources, training, and are able to help you with bid writing.

Finance
Good financial management and robust financial controls are crucial to the effective running of any organisation, thats why we provide a range of free services to support you to do this within your organisations:-

We can:

  • support you to review or develop effective financial management policies and procedures to support you to implement the necessary financial controls needed. 
  • work with you to setup a simple and easy to use book keeping system to enable your governing body members to be aware of what money is coming in, what is going out and how much you have to utilise
  • support you to implement a system of full cost recovery within your organisations to ensure that your core or overhead costs are paid for equally by all of your funders, we will also support you to develop a budget using this system so that you are able to use it for your funding or tender applications

All registered Charities with a gross income of £25,000 to £250,000 during a financial year are required to have their accounts independently scrutinized.  If your organisation has an income of under £10K we are also able to offer preparation of your annual accounts and independent examination free of charge.

For larger organisations we also offer low cost financial management services:-

  • Payroll
  • Provision of a book keeping service
  • Preparation of Annual Accounts for Audit or Independent examination
  • Independent Examination
