Community Accountancy Service

This project was developed in October 09 and its purpose is to improve financial management within third sector organisations through the provision of the following services:

Policy Development

This project will assist not for profit organisations with the development of financial management policies and procedures.

Independent Examination of Accounts

Registered Charities with a gross income of £25,000 to £500,00 during a financial year are required to have their accounts independently scrutinized. This department will provide this service free of charge.

Financial Management Advice, Information & Support

The project will provide one to one support the development of financial management systems, such as the setup of basic book keeping systems.

Training

The project will provide training in:

• Basic Book Keeping
• Full Cost Recovery
• Development of Financial Management Policies and Procedures
